The Apraxia Foundation realizes that people with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) are more likely to face discrimination from law enforcement. In our advocacy efforts, we have made Apraxia ID Cards for adults with CAS. If you are pulled over by law enforcement while driving, please hand this card along with your license when pulled over. We recommend storing this card directly with your driver's license.
How do I make the Apraxia ID
card?
Please print the document files above, and use double-sided tape to tape the front side to the backside. After, please fill out the person’s information, then laminate the card. If you do not have a laminator at home, you can visit a local office supplies store to do so at a low rate.
